Last Monday I had the privilege of photographing Jessica, and her two gorgeous children C (4 months) and T (3 years). Jessica is breastfeeding both her children, and wanted some nursing photos to look back on in the future.
I breastfed both my children (B to almost 2 years when pregnancy complications forced me to wean her, and I am still breastfeeding C at 15 months) and I am a strong supporter of extended breastfeeding, so nursing photos are something I really enjoy doing and can understand, and I look forward to doing more in the future. It’s something nursing mothers often overlook and later regret not having photos of.
Anyway, on with the photos! For obvious reasons I’m not going to post any revealing nursing photos directly here to my blog as they may not be suitable for viewing in a work setting, however you can view the entire gallery here:
All were taken with natural light on a bed with white sheets and a white wall – so I didn’t even need any of my studio set up!
Here are a few safe-for-work photos of her beautiful children and one nursing photo:
Always willing to do more nursing photos – so if you’re interested, please let me know!

Thank you so much for these photographs. The photography session itself was lots of fun, and the pictures are amazing – in a short space of time, you managed to get picures that look like my children, and capure their personalities, even with the fidgety preschooler. I particularly treasure the breastfeeding and tandem nursing photographs; they are a beautiful record of a really special time. Since the pictures have been taken, friends have commented on much they would have loved to have had similar pictures, but they didn’t have the confidence to ask a photographer or (in one case) the photographer refused, so I’m very pleased that this will be one of your specialisms. I really hope that other families can have mementoes of their nursing days that are as lovely as ours.
Thank you so much!! You were all an absolute pleasure to photograph, and I felt very privileged in being allowed to capture such a precious moment. As you know I am a big fan of extended breastfeeding as it means so much to me too, so I’m delighted to offer the service to nursing mothers.
