Outdoors/Lifestyle Gallery
March 12, 2010Outdoors photography under daylight is the most natural form of photography there is. You and/or your family can really be yourselves, unconstrained by the physical limits of a studio.. I’ll chase you and/or your children round!
I can suggest plenty of lovely local locations for photographs, but if you have somewhere you would like me to use, I would love to use your choice. Aside from a fill flash and sometimes a reflector, very little equipment is needed so we can wander as far as we like in search of the perfect photograph.
The best times for outdoor photographs are in the hour after dawn, and the hour before sunset – which also makes for great sunset silhouettes too. Often those times aren’t suitable for you, but generally the later in the day, the softer the light and the better the photo so we’ll aim for as late as possible.
Outdoor sessions can go ahead in most weather conditions, in fact overcast is probably the ideal weather. A constant heavy downpour may cause a few problems unless there is some shelter to shoot under. There are no problems with a reschedule (or even a refund of session fee) if you choose not to go ahead due to the weather.
Lifestyle sessions are often indoors, in your own home in your regular surroundings. If natural light is not available, I can use my portable studio to assist. It’s a lovely way to remember a happy time in your life.
Here are some of the many, many images I have from outdoor/lifestyle sessions:
